Shabbat

We welcome Shabbat on Friday evenings. Our services are led by Rabbi Slome and either Cantor Wolffe or Soloist Idelle Nissila Stone. Our piano accompanist, Dmitry Gilivinskiy is with us each Shabbat.  Our services begin at 7:30 p.m. (please check Temple calendar for community and Religious School dinners) and are followed by an Oneg Shabbat that is usually sponsored by one of our temple families. We pray with Mishkan T’filah, the new Reform Jewish prayerbook. Our music reflects contemporary American Reform Jewish style, including music composed by our own music director. Rabbi Slome delivers a sermon at most Shabbat services but a guest speaker may be invited occasionally.

Early Shabbat Service and Pot Luck Dinner

About once a month, we hold specially designed Shabbat service at 6:30 p.m., followed by a pot luck dinner.  Our Religious School children and participate in leading these services. All are welcome. Please bring a kosher-style dish to share (no pork, no shellfish!) This service replaces our regular 7:30 p.m. service. Check the calendar for dates!
